Cricket Rules

To be played in conjunction with Sportsworld Liverpool in house and A.I.C.F rules

Bowlers are not permitted to push off the back net when bowling or use the back net to assist in their run up

The keeper must be standing behind the wickets on the pitch until the ball leaves the bowlers hand

Batters must wear at least 1 glove when batting

"NO BALL - HEIGHT" is to be deemed from the batters batting stance only

If the batter is batting outside their crease or has one foot either side of the line, moves forward past the crease, then steps back into the batting crease the ball is classified as a "FAIR BALL" by moving forward out of the crease this nullifies the "NO BALL HEIGHT "

MANKAD - the bowler does not have to complete his bowling action but the ball must remain in the bowling hand for the dismissal to be awarded - if not "NO BALL" is called
*Although Mankad is a rule of the game, Sportsworld Liverpool do NOT encourage the use of it, as we believe it is un-sportsman like

MISCONDUCT -No warning is needed and it is up to the umpires discretion, if the following occurs, the umpire will automatically incur these penalties:
1 PLAYER TO PLAYER
Hit, shove, kick, verbal abuse and any other simular behaviour = SEND OFF/BANNED

2 PLAYER TO UMPIRE
As Above = SEND OFF/BANNED

Swearing & Abusive Language = -5/10 RUNS

3 PLAYER & EQUIPMENT
Misuse of any equipment = -5/-10 RUNS
EG: Kicking or throwing Stumps, Bats etc

1. To win a skin all you have to do is score more runs than the corresponding batting pair.

2. ( 1 ) point is awarded for each skin that is won

3. In the event of a TIED SKIN the point will carry over to the next pair

4. If the last skin is tied, the team that won the previous skin will be awarded the point.

The winner of the game is the team with the most runs overall and will be awarded ( 6 ) points for the win, then ( 1 ) point for each skin won

In our mixed competition we do ask you to be considerate to the ladies abilities and play in a manner that does not intimidate them

The above is enforced weekly and applies to all teams.
